Thanksgiving in California

Payton helped Nana make my favorite cake (funfetti) for my birthday.

Aunt Caroline and Uncle Grant takes the prize for Payton's favorite gift so far....baby "Gigi".

It is her absolute favorite thing, we take Gigi everywhere :).

Although Payton has been on a plane before, our Thanksgiving trip was her first flight now that she is walking and running. I was so nervous that she would just want to go running up and down the aisle on the airplane. We came prepared with movies, colors, lots of food and tylenol. All of the worrying for nothing....she did GREAT!!! She actually slept. Greg and I were shocked. We had a great thanksgiving with family and I had a great 30th birthday!!!

Here are some pictures of Trick or Treating at Baylor in the dorms. Payton had her first sucker (a grape dum-dum)!!! She was a little scared to go up to get candy, but warmed up in the end. The last picture is what she did as we were leaving the dorm. I guess she was tired :)

Heart of Texas Fair

Welcome to the fair....corn dogs, funnel cakes, tater twists, home made ice cream from a John Deer tractor, carnival rides and pig races!!! We left with stomachs hurting and dirt from

head to toe. What a blast!!!

Baylor Fan

Last Saturday Payton was a super Baylor fan!!! She went to the football game and the volleyball game. Most of the football game was spent outside running around and eating popcorn (Payton and I saw about 4 minutes of the game). The volleyball game was spent going up and down stairs in the Ferrell Center and running around in the foyer, but we were there!!!!

First day at Mother's Day Out

Friday was Payton's first day at Mother's Day Out at a church here in town. It is in a perfect location and time so I can drop her off and pick her up with my work schedule. I have been wanting her to start something so she can be around other kids and get every sickness out of her system :). We got there a little early so she could walk around and feel comfortable before I dropped her off. She brought a packed lunch with string cheese, grapes, avocado, milk and a peanut butter sandwich. The teachers said she did great, never cried (except when I dropped her off), and even napped!!! To top off the day when I came to pick her up she ran to me with her arms wide open and a huge smile saying "mama mama". I think she had a good day.

This is when I was dropping her off. She had some tears. I could look through a one way window and see her. She stopped crying as soon as she saw a kitchen to play with.

This is our sweet babysitter Avery. We are so lucky to have her watch Payton and she recently started to teach at the Mother's Day Out where Payton goes. Avery said she would watch Payton from across the way and make sure she is doing ok :).

Payton is 15 months old now. At her 15-month check she weighed in at 25 lbs and 32.5 inches tall. She is becoming quite a strong-willed, funny little girl. She runs everywhere. Cat "tat", mommy "mama", daddy "dada" are her favorite words. She has 5 teeth now...finally she is getting some teeth to fill the space. The grocery store is near impossible. I don't know how anyone can go to the grocery store with more than one child. She wants out of the cart as soon as I put her in and no type of food or drink will disctract her :).

Starting in September, Payton will be going to a mother's-day-out on Fridays from 8:45-2:30. It is in a perfect location from my work, so I will be able to drop her off and pick her up. We have gotten over the fear of the nursery at church so I think she is really going to like being around other kids her age.
